At the time the original Smoking and Tobacco Policy was under review in August 2014, there was extensive discussion and concern from campus constituents regarding the proposed ban on e-cigarettes on campus. It was decided to make an exception permitting electronic cigarettes until a task force of University stakeholders could research this issue further. That task force has now concluded its work and issued a recommendation that e-cigarettes (officially “electronic nicotine delivery systems”) no longer be permitted on campus. The task force's summary and recommendations are linked below under Related Resources.
